GHz Communications performs Program Management services to Charlotte Area Transit Agency.

GHz Communications located in Granbury Texas announce a joint venture with Axiom Corporation, Atlanta, GA to provide Program Management services to Charlotte Area Transit Agency (CATS), Charlotte, NC. GHz will provide to assistance in managing the deployment of CATS $4.4 Million Automatic Vehicle Location/Automated Passenger Counting (AVL/APC) system being deployed for the City of Charlotte. GHz will also provide integration support to include AVL capability to the Light Rail Transit being deployed concurrently for the City.  The AVL contract will provide state of the art fleet management for over 300 buses operated at two facilities in Charlotte, NC.

“Having worked on similar projects in Denver, Houston, Atlanta, and Detroit, the integration of RF Voice/Data system has long been one of the core services” according to company President Bryan Nace.  “The opportunity to participate in Charlotte allows GHz to increase its visibility nationwide into wireless access and network management areas of fleet management” continues Mr. Nace.
